Arriving in Morocco was a nightmare. The girls were tired. The taxi ride seemed to take us into the middle of nowhere. We arrived at the hotel on a Saturday night to a huge party for the locals. Although I loved the charm of the local dancing and tea drinking, some of the girls felt a little too jet lagged to appreciate it.

As dozens of purple suits descend on the streets of Lloret De Mar, sporting full heads of bright green hair dye and faces thick with white paint, I think to myself: Oh, here we go again.

Angkor Wat Temples: Angkor Wat Pictures
The temples of Angkor Wat are truly indescribable. There are few things which leave me lost for words, but it’s impossible to find anything in the lexicon of the world to illustrate the beauty of the Angkor Wat temples.
Angkor Wat Temples: Angkor Wat Guide

Victoria Angkor Hotel Review: Siem Reap, Cambodia
Rated 4.5 ★star by TheSmartGirlsTravelGuide.com
Every TripAdvisor review raves about the Victoria Angkor hotel, and I’m about to do the same. Victoria Angkor hotel and spa is most definitely one of the best places to stay in Siem Reap. The words “luxurious”, “relaxing“ and “extravagant “ furnish the endless pages of the TripAdvisor website, and quite rightly so, but let me add a couple more words to the mix: “safe” and “secure”.

Bring loads of beer. Pack all your favourite hoodies. Learn to chop wood. Don’t leave your wellies next to your friend Mike who likes to vomit in the middle of the night. And that’s all the advice I have for you.
Tipi camping is one of my favourite things to do in the UK. No matter what the weather brings, there’s always fun to be had.

Interview with a Rough Guides Writer: Guyan Mitra

Sometimes, that’s where the glossiness ends for me. Because most days, hitting deadlines is my biggest concern. So it’s nice to meet other writers who walk the same paths, share the same niggles of life, and relish the same highs.

Weird Foods from Around the World
Do you know what really p*sses me off? Fussy eaters. Those ‘urgh-I’m-not-eating that’ and ‘ooh-that-looks-weird’ type of people. People who don’t have an adventurous bone in their body.
I try most things once. From escargot to frogs legs, aloe vera jelly to chicken’s feet, steak tartare to smelly durian fruit, there are so many strange foods I’ve been open enough to try (although it’s not always enjoyable). It bores me to hear the urghs, ewws and dramatic gasping. Luckily, I can’t hear anything through the blogosphere so read on…..
